he'll brighten up your day,

sometimes bicker with you

but still be there for you 

he'll protect you, 

stand up for you,

think of you

thing is,

he doesn't make you feel butterflies,

he doesn't understand your favourite songs

nor does he believe in things that you do 

he won't say he loves you 

he won't kiss away your tears 

he won't be the one you bring home to your family 

he can't make your heart skip a beat,
he can't leave you wanting more,
he can't be your one & only  

it's an awful truth -
